Gilbert House Fellowship #9 – Job 18-24

job-and-his-friends-eliphaz-bildad-and-zopharOUR STUDY of the Book of Job continues as we work through chapters 18 through 24. Today, we see Bildad the Shuhite and Eliphaz the Temanite, two of the three friends who’d come to comfort Job, go beyond just criticizing Job to flat-out lying about the wicked things Job must have done to deserve the punishment of God!

Even in the midst of his despair, though, Job remains steadfast in his faith. From chapter 19:

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
