Gilbert House Fellowship #290: Leviticus 5-7

SINS OF omission are just as serious in the Lord’s eyes as those we commit intentionally.

We continue our discussion of the detailed laws for the burnt offering, grain offering, sin offering, guilt offering, ordination offering, and peace offering, with a reminder that all of this is just “a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.” (Col. 2:17; see also Hebrews 8:5 and 10:1).

Above all, as we begin Thanksgiving week, remember to be thankful that God will still be on the throne come January 21. This has been a trying year for most of us, but He still reigns, and His sacrifice has secured our future regardless of what happens in this life. As Paul wrote, “If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied” (1 Cor. 15:19). Keep looking up!

Uh Oh… Yikes! … I graduated from Old DOMINION University…perhaps in the future there will be a name change because someone may deem it unpatriotic? Do you think they may take a VOTE on this? LOL

I hope you get this. When my beloved son passed, I lost most of myself and nearly died myself. I sought help through the internet. I was literally on the verge of death myself. I found you guys during those black days and nights of despair and agony. Finding you put me on a path to realize I was a very ignorant Christian. I have learned so much from you both. I am so grateful for all the work you have done to educate and share. I still struggle day by day, but you have helped me find the the path of Lord in His true form. I feel your spirits through the internet. I so hope and wish I will get to meet and hug you both one day. Thank you for helping me stay alive and find the Way!

    • Carrie: We are terribly sorry to hear of your loss, and we are humbled that the Lord has comforted you through our humble efforts. We take no credit—it is all Him. Your message to us is a blessing, and a reminder that all of us can be used by our Lord to achieve His ends. May He bless you and keep you until the day He calls you to His side.
