Gilbert House Fellowship #213: Daniel 11

THE END of the 11th chapter of Daniel reads like a prophecy of the wars of Antichrist. Since the first 35 verses of that chapter are a prophecy of wars that were over the Holy Land in the two centuries before the birth of Jesus, concluding with Antiochus IV and his abomination of desolation, this analysis makes some sense.

Our study this week focuses on the vision of the coming of Alexander the Great and Antiochus Epiphanes, a precursor and type of the Antichrist, and the famous “seventy weeks” prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 which includes the prophecy to the “abomination of desolation” (Daniel 9:27) used by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24:15-16, Mark 13:14, and Luke 21:20-21).
