Gilbert House Fellowship #214: Daniel 12

PHYSICAL RESURRECTION is an aspect of Bible prophecy that’s not often discussed.

Today, we link Daniel 12:2-3 to Isaiah 26:13-19, Ezekiel 39:11, Matthew 27:52-53, and 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 to show how the prophets and apostles understood not only that we will be physically resurrected someday, but that the Rephaim — i.e., the spirits of the Nephilim (yes, them again) — will be “blocked” from this resurrection.

  1. I am reading the ” Last Clash of the Titans” this is the first time I’ve read one of your books after seeing you on “The Jim Bakker Show” I have to admit that I am struggling with the way it is written. In my opinion it was not written for the average reader, I am having a hard time understanding it and have to look up a lot of the words to comprehend what is stated in the chapter, and some words are not there in the college dictionary I’m using, for what ever reason. The topic was very interesting but to me very complicated. I admit I don’t know mythology and it’s all running into each other. With God’s help I will read it all.

  2. I’m reading Last Clash of the Titans also and I am so thankful for Derek Gilbert’s gift of understanding to me. I started praying for understanding two years ago and was led to SkyWatchTV and Derek Gilbert. I will need to read it again but author Gilbert connects the dots so well and often this is becoming a reference book to me. Thank you to the Gilbert’s and their dedication to spreading truth about the Word.

      Thank you! We are honored.

  3. Talking about resurrection.. can you tell me if someone is cremated how can they get a “new body” when we are resurrected to met Jesus? Can we be cremated and still be resurrected? It’s really been bothering me and thinking of my own plans for the future! PLEASE help me with this. ALSO I don’t understand about being asleep in Christ either. So we die and stay asleep for hundreds possibly thousands of years til his second coming? By then we won’t have bodies to be resurrected. All very confusing. PLEASE HELP WITH SOME Clarity on this matter! Thank you!

Moving onto Ezekiel 38 & 39 because of your info in and the “shades”

      Hi, Kim,

That’s a question many people have asked. The God who spoke the universe into creation and knows the number of hairs on your head will be able to restore you to a new, incorruptible body at the last trump. It’s not the old one reanimated.

As for your second question: That’s an answer the Bible doesn’t give specifically in terms of the passage of time between death and being with God, but the bottom line is that God knows us better than we know ourselves. He has the power to raise us up and has promised to do so. “Is anything too hard for the LORD?” (Gen. 18:14) “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jer. 32:27)

      1. Thank you so much! I really enjoying walking through the Bible with you and Sharon. It’s so different than I’ve every studied but makes so much more sense than how I’ve studied it in the past. Thank you both for all you do to bring Gods word to us. Also enjoying Giants, Gods & Dragons… I’m almost finished
