Gilbert House Fellowship #68: Psalms 56, 120, 140-142; 1 Sam 25-27

Abigail_and_DavidOUR OLD TESTAMENT study this week continues through the period of David’s life in the wilderness, on the run with his band of 600 from the troops of King Saul. In addition to discussing several beautiful Psalms this week, we see how David learns a lesson in prudence and forgiveness from Abigail, the beautiful wife of a wealthy man whose name, Nabal, describes his character (nabal means “fool” in Hebrew).

  1. Thank you so much Sharon for speaking about Abigail in the way that you did. I have been feeling so at a loss. I was a stay at home mom and now that my boys are grown up, I have been feeling kind of well, where do I fit in now?. I am a woman of prayer and have spent many, many hours on my knees for my family. Your words spoke heaps to me. It was the Lord reaching down through time and space to answer the questions I have had about myself. I have been going through the archives and doing your bible studies along with my attempt to read through the bible and they have been such an awesome blessing. Thank you once again.
